Hey Rethabile
I found your blog about Bram Fischer & thought you might wish to see my latest documentary Love, Communism, Revolution & Rivonia - Bram Fischer’s Story which will be broadcast for the first time on Heritage Day at 3pm on the M-Net Channel.
Also, if you’re in Jozi, Cape Town, Pretoria or Durban you can see it on the big screen at Cinema Nouveau later this month as part of 3 Continents Film Festival www.3continentsfestival.co.za. It is a very personal story with a political spine & gives much insight into who Bram was & what motivated him to be the man he was - including some lovely 8mm footage he took of his family from 1942 to 1960 & just won the Jamesons Best SA Documentary Audience Award at the Encounters Documentary Festival which was great. His eldest daughter Ruth is basically my mother-in-law so making it was a real culmination & journey for me. Anyhow, just thought it was cool that you wished him Happy Birthday & thought you might wish to know more about him. Sharon Farr
